On October 21st, RCEC held it's Fall 2024 National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. It's is with pride we celebrate, 33 students from River City Early College. These RCEC were officially inducted into the prestigious National Honor Society (NHS) as we recognize this achievement as a testament to their dedication, academic excellence, and leadership qualities.
The National Honor Society, a nationwide organization, recognizes high school students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. To be considered for membership, students must meet rigorous academic standards, including maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher. Achieving this milestone is no small feat, especially given the unique challenges that come with balancing dual-enrollment college coursework alongside high school classes at RCEC.
The induction ceremony was both an emotional and proud moment for students, their families, and the school community. Teachers and administrators applauded the inductees for their hard work, emphasizing that this honor reflects not only academic success but also the students’ commitment to personal growth and community service.
The event also highlighted the students' involvement in various community service initiatives, emphasizing the importance of giving back and setting an example for their peers. As members of NHS, these students will now take on the responsibility of upholding these values and contributing even more to their school and community.
