ACT Student Workshop-April 4, 2026
3rd Nine Weeks Benchmark Exams

All juniors are scheduled to take the ACT on February 24th at 9:00 a.m. Please ensure that students arrive to school on time and come prepared with a fully charged Chromebook.

There will be no school for students on Monday, February 16, in observance of President’s Day.
Students will return on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Seniors at Vicksburg-Warren School District are encouraged to apply for the 2026 Mississippi Association of School Resource Officers (MASRO) Scholarship, an opportunity to receive financial assistance for college tuition and textbooks.
The MASRO scholarship awards nine graduating high school seniors — one from each of the organization’s nine regions — a $500 cash award to help defray college expenses.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled as a twelfth-grade student in a Mississippi high school at the time of application.
Applications must include two letters of recommendation, with one letter from the School Resource Officer (SRO) at the applicant’s school, a current high school transcript, and a completed attestation and disclaimer form. All sections of the application must be filled out completely and neatly.
Completed applications should be submitted to the MASRO Scholarship Committee via email at contactmasro@gmail.com no later than March 1, 2026. Awardees will be notified and honored during their school’s senior awards ceremony.
The MASRO scholarship is designed to support Mississippi students as they pursue higher education and to recognize academic achievement and community involvement.

Erin Grace Smith, a HHS senior at Vicksburg High School, has been selected as a
2025-2026 Mississippi Secretary of State’s Student Ambassador. She is the
daughter of Dionne Carter and Eros Smith.
The Secretary of State’s Student Ambassador Program is a program between
high school seniors, the Secretary of State’s Office, and MS Secretary of State-
Michael Watson. Through the program, students with a passion for leadership
and state government are equipped to return to their schools as proponents of
voter education and awareness. They also have regular interactions with leaders
from the Secretary of State’s Office, Mississippi Legislature, and various other
state and local officials.
At Vicksburg High School, Erin Grace is the Class Vice-President, National
Technical Honor Society President, and a member of the Gator Girl Dance Team,
Soccer Team, Key Club. In the community, she attends Greater Grove Street M.B.
Church and is a member of the Warren County Youth Advisory Board. After High
School, she plans to attend a prestigious University, majoring in social or medical
science with a minor in pre-law, becoming a lawyer.
