Creating an updated school mission statement was one of the first steps we took in The Leader in Me process.  We felt it was important to review our values and have a common language that we could all speak to on a daily basis.  In aligning our mission, we were able to create a clear focus for who we are, who we strive to be and how we will make  decisions for our school.  This mission was a group effort and decided on by all staff members.   

In addition to having a school Mission Statement, we also felt it was important to have each classroom create a Mission Statement that was aligned to the school's vision.  The goal for every classroom was to help each classroom identify their individual role and responsibilities and to provide a sense of direction and purpose to their day.  The hope is that the Mission Statements will challenge and inspire each classroom to work as a team toward the greater good.  Below you will find examples of each classroom's Mission Statement that are posted on their doors.
