AOI was recertified as a Lighthouse School in 2023. As part of this recertification, a representative from Franklin Covey visited our school during our spring Leadership Day. Each grade-level pod showcased the rigorous learning and excellence taking place at AOI, highlighting how the 7 Habits, paradigms, and principles are integrated to enhance students' effectiveness across all areas. Around the same time, we were thrilled to host a surprise visit from Muriel Summers—a truly unforgettable "WOW" moment! During her visit, our students once again demonstrated their empowerment by discussing and taking ownership of their own learning.

As we continue the Leader in Me process at AOI, fostering strong leadership and life skills in both our staff and students, and cultivating a high-trust environment that supports academic achievement, we look forward to applying for recertification in the spring of 2025. With that step, we will be on track to achieve Legacy School certification in 2027.
