The Bovina Brainiacs Robotics team are Back to Back State Champions. The Brainiacs competed against 38 teams from around the state in Biloxi on March 8th. The team won the Champions Award, 3rd place in the robot game, and one of their coaches, Ginny Dickerson, won the Coach/Mentor Award. The Brainiacs will represent Mississippi at the First Lego League World Championship in Houston, Texas in April. The Brainiacs will compete against 160 teams from around the world.

The Brainiacs are a 9-member robotics team with 3- fifth grade students and 6- sixth grade students. This is the 3rd year for Bovina to have a robotics team. This year's theme was to research a problem faced by those who research the oceans and to thoroughly explore this problem and its possible solutions. The team worked together to build their robot, program multiple missions, and worked together to create their innovation project. To prepare for Houston, the team will continue working on their robot programs and using the feedback from the judges to improve their project.
