The Vicksburg Warren School District Athletic Hall of Fame has been established to honor and
recognize athletes, coaches, and administrators who have made a substantial contribution to the
VWSD Athletic Department.
Article 1 – Eligibility
SECTION ONE: Membership in the Hall of Fame is open to those individuals who have
distinguished themselves in the field of athletics while a student, coach, or contributor at
Vicksburg High School or Warren Central High School, who have displayed sportsmanship, and
have brought honor and distinction to either Vicksburg High School or Warren Central High
School. The general public and committee members can make nominations.
SECTION TWO: ATHLETES: To be eligible, students must have attended and participated at
least 2 years at Vicksburg High School or Warren Central High School beginning with 1970 and
have been part of a class that has graduated at least 15 years before nomination for election.
SECTION THREE: COACHES: They must have coached for at least 5 years and must have
coached for a total of at least 10 years in their sport. They must also be out of coaching for the
sport nominated for at least 5 years.
SECTION FOUR: ADMINISTRATORS: To be eligible for selection, an individual must be one
who made significant contributions to VWSD Athletics and must be at least 5 years removed.
SECTION FIVE: Exceptions within each category can be made by the committee.
SECTION SIX: COMMITTEE: The committee will consist of no more than twelve members
with a 2/3 majority required for election. Voting will be secret ballot. A meeting quorum of five
is needed to hold the meeting. Six members are required to hold a vote. New members of the
committee will be elected by the remaining numbers. A majority vote is required. Induction
ceremonies will be held at a location to be determined. Inductees will be presented with an
award and introduced during halftime at the Vicksburg High School vs. Warren Central High School varsity football game.
